ABOUT US

Who We Are?

ROOG is an independent game development studio based in Istanbul, forged by a group of lifelong friends who united trusted young talents with seasoned veterans. With roots in both board games and digital worlds, we bring deep experience in fantasy, simulation, and dungeon-style storytelling to life through games that excite, surprise, and spark curiosity. At our core, we're driven by creativity, innovation, and the thrill of exploring new sensations for gamers—always pushing ourselves to discover fresh ways to play, feel, and experience. Every project is a chance to challenge the norm and give players something they didn't know they were missing. We believe in world-building with soul, systems with purpose, and art that tells a story. While our games may vary in genre or scale, the one constant is our desire to leave a lasting impression—whether it's through a powerful atmosphere, a surprising mechanic, or a moment of pure player-driven chaos. We're not here to play it safe—we're here to play it smart, bold, and with heart.

Our Vision

We aim high.

In the next few years, we plan to establish ROOG as a go-to name in fantasy desktop gaming, launching a small yet powerful roster of titles with both critical and community acclaim. We're not rushing—we believe in building with intention, polishing with care, and releasing when it's right.

As our worlds grow, so will we. Our future may include stepping into new territories—console, VR, mobile, or even back to physical board games—depending on where the success of our current games leads us. But every step will be guided by our creative instincts, not market trends.

More than just games, we're building a studio culture that listens. A community that teaches as much as it plays. We want our players to know their voices matter—that they're part of our process, not just the result of it. If we can create memorable experiences and a meaningful connection with our audience, we'll call that a win.

Inside the Studio - Some of Our Rituals

Prototype Fridays

Every Friday, anyone can pitch or test a weird new idea. Some are hilariously bad. Some become games. We love both.

Mugs of Honor

When you ship your first full game at ROOG, you get your own studio mug—with your name, your role, and a tiny easter egg illustration.

The Goblin Rulebook

Our not-so-secret studio playbook—full of testing tips, funny fails, and internal design philosophies. It's chaotic, helpful, and a little weird.

Campaign Tuesdays

Weekly team tabletop sessions. Not mandatory, but if you miss one, you might find your in-game character mysteriously replaced by a goat.
